I agree. Seems like these days everyone is afraid to offend, which ends up leaving things bland. Give me great tasting hot pepper to spice up my food. When I finish, I know I've eaten a meal.


oh, do tell what book you think only 50 percent would enjoy...I need some recomendations :)

This post makes me think that we need to just write it and not worry about offending. It could, in the end, make all the difference in getting read and published!


You do something dark and edgy, confident in the future because editors and agents say they want it and then you get rejections. Sure, write what you want, but have a real job.
